Willow House is a small and intimate program, treating no more than 10 women at a time. This allows our multi-disciplinary treatment team—which includes a psychiatric specialist, a primary care physician, a Master’s level therapists, psychologists, and registered nurses—to give each woman the individual attention she needs.
Individualized Treatment for Women
Our patients receive an individualized treatment plan based on thorough psychological testing and assessments for a variety of issues related to intimacy disorders, including eating disorders, OCD, PTSD, depression, personality disorders, addiction, and temperament.
Individual and group therapy is designed to help clients uncover and understand the “whys” of their intimacy and relationship issues with an underlying focus on trauma resolution. Treatment methods include CBT, DBT, ACT, Equine Therapy, 12-Steps, the 30 Task Model, and The Meadows Model of Developmental Immaturity, including many cutting-edge therapies including EMDR, Somatic Experiencing, and Neurofeedback.
Therapy that Works
Our clients also progress through structured experiential activities that are designed to provide them with opportunities to experience successes, identify obstacles, improve self-esteem, and take greater responsibility for their choices and actions. Experiential therapies give women the confidence that they are capable of overcoming challenges and capable of doing what they thought was impossible.
Experiential and mind/body therapies at Willow House include spiritual counseling, Yoga, Tai Chi, Acupuncture, Expressive Arts Therapy, Music Therapy, Movement Therapy, Mindfulness and Meditation, Rope Challenge Course, Equine Therapy, and Psychodrama.
Patients leave Willow House at The Meadows with communication skills and emotional regulation skills needed to make healthy choices and live their best lives.
Recovery for Women
Our individualized patient-care is focused on helping you achieve long-lasting recovery. In a safe and nurturing community composed of their peers, women are guided on their journey of recovery by examining the underlying causes of addiction and co-occurring disorders. The goal is for these individuals to gain the courage to face difficult issues, including grief and loss; heal from emotional trauma; and become accountable for their own feelings, behaviors, and recovery.
